come on guys, stop the hate! If it tastes good for him/her just shut up. I took this added salt, pepper, beef stock, tomato paste and cumin and let it simmer for 60 minutes instead. Really no need for the hate.

This looks very delicious. But I don’t trust broccoli. I’ve tried to make a soup before (different recipe), and I started getting black dots coming up on the surface after it started boiling, until I realized that they were little flies and they were everywhere in the soup. I was pretty disappointed, but not discouraged. I was determined to make it again the next day yet this time spend more time at cleaning the broccoli more thoroughly. After I gave it about 7 washes with vinegar then with baking soda, then water only, I threw it in the pot and started again, and this time I got little flies also. Not as many, but they were there. I threw the second soup away also and never trusted broccoli again. It looks amazing, but I now admire it from afar lol
